Great video. I guess the stage setup doesn't allow Scotty and the band to make the beginning of Now as dramatic and exciting as usual...but Scotty still killed it!!!
Thanks for the videos Deb and Phil!! What an awesome crowd! Just think...Scotty will get to play in front of crowds like this about 20 times this summer!! Thousands and thousands will be Scottified !
Another great collection by Crowd Album this time for the Indy Riot concert. Really scary looking skies, a pic not from the concert, and no videos of Scotty this time. Of course they only gather what is on twitter. Many of these are from the RF mentions!
This is going to be short and sweet. Between a crazy (but incredibly fun) trip to Indy and a few too many hours in my office this afternoon, I’m down to both my last brain cell and my last ounce of energy.
The weather: Rain, rain and more rain with the exception of the “withhold the rain from me” time frame between 6:30 PM and 8:45 PM -- just the window we needed to catch a shuttle to the venue (the driver was only a little tipsy, smh); pick up our tickets from ‘will call’*; get patted down by an overly aggressive and p-a-i-n-fully slow female gate attendant who def enjoyed her job a little too much (come to think of it, so did hubby, haha); hit the restroom (nothing like a woman’s restroom at a 20K+ venue, ‘nuf said); and finally collapse into our seats just as Raelyn started singing her first song. * To get better seats, I had purchased our tickets at Ticketmaster by paying the $25 up charge for the Rascal Flatts fan club membership. RF’s “will call” process was maddeningly disorganized and insanely slow – and then the scanners went down . . . Moral of this story: If you need to pick up your tickets at RF’s ‘will call’, get to the venue early!
Raelyn: Girl’s got talent; unfortunately, you could barely hear her voice over the backing band (the bass was obnoxiously loud). Of course, we weren’t really interested in Raelyn anyway -- spent the entire time watching Scotty’s band members prepare their instruments (they’re sooo adorbs--love Joey's new haircut) … Btw, we had awesome seats – 15 rows from the stage, dead center. Perfect.
Pet Peeve: I know all of the artists do it, but I find it extremely rude that RF does their M&Gs during Scotty’s set – empties 5 rows dead center near the stage (these are the empty seats they you’ve seen in some of the videos). The rest of the place is packed and then you see these 5 rows (and the VIP section), smh
Scotty: What more can I say other than HE ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT. He looked great (gotta love the fitted button-down shirts and “tight blue jeans”); owned the stage (the kid’s got more energy than 12 ‘pink’ bunnies); and effortlessly filled the 20K venue with that big, amazing VOICE . . . And the crowd loved him -- they really, really loved him!!
Set List (in order): Now, Can You Feel It, Momma Loves Papa, TTWG, WTT, SYT, the Country Medley (5 songs), Buzzin and Feelin It -- very up tempo and high energy!
8:45: At precisely the moment that Scotty finished his set and exited stage right the dark, ominous clouds started rolling in. Within minutes, Scotty came back on stage to announce both that the concert was going to be delayed due to weather and that the 10K+ fans in the grassy area needed to leave the venue immediately, ending his statement with an unscripted “Go Colts” – the crowd loved it (charming and clever, the kid’s got it all)!
Many waited in their cars for the all clear (RF did take the stage about an hour later); however, Phil and I noticed that the hotel shuttle had just pulled up outside Gate A, so we decided to make a run for it. Still got soaked but at least we were headed back to the hotel where we could take a hot shower and then relax in a comfy bed with a big screen TV and room service—doesn’t get much better than that . . . All-in-all, it was an AWESOME night!! Thanks Scotty!

from Crowd Album -- Scotty just kills TTWG:
A huge thank you for sharing your concert experience. It sounds like a great night for you, Phil and Scotty. I know he is pumped on that stage before 20K fans.
Great, thoughtful review Deb! I agree with you about the M&G being during Scotty's set. Those fans don't get to experience his music and that's a crying shame.

Glad you were able to see Scotty rain free. Thank you for explaining all the empty seats, I was surprised. The video quality is excellent as always
These two videos have now been posted on Youtube by Erica Marie Trouble with Girls
Can You Feel It
Wow! 2more fabulous videos to enjoy. Notice how many men are standing looking like they are Feelin It!!! Love seeing Scotty in front of this size audience and he is so pumped and he is owning that stage!!!!! tfortexas great find!!!!!
I noticed a lot of guys feeling the rhythm. From the little we've seen, this tour will really help Scotty with new fans. Now all he needs is radio to jump on his next song with haste.
Deb dodged a bullet. There were tornadoes in Indianapolis today. Glad Scotty and RF concert was not today.
We were alerted that bad weather could be coming Indy's way so we left our hotel at the crack of dawn yesterday... Btw, very happy that Scotty was able to perform his set in front of the ENTIRE crowd Saturday night. By the time RF finally took the stage, the crowd had dwindled quite abit.
Thanks Drdeb for the colorful recap. Great to hear you got great seats and shortly after Scotty's performance you and Phil enjoyed a warm and dry evening.
