Use this thread to plan lunch, dinner, lobby parties, or epic weekends where members of MCF can meet and enjoy sharing in the fun of seeing Scotty at a venue!
Original IDFers know what this is! New members, we really want you to join in the fun! If you look on the calendar you can see all the members who have told Deb they are going to a certain venue.
Get-togethers can be in the form of arranging to meet at a M&G of Scotty's to just shake hands and associate a name with a face from MCF.
Sometimes, we have traveled great distances to see Scotty and we choose to arrive a day early to have dinner the night before. Sometimes, we have time to get together for lunch before heading to a show. When a bigger number of us come from out of town, many try to stay in the same hotel! In that event we notify the hotel of our intent to use the lobby for a gathering place after Scotty's concert. Members, staying in other hotels, are told of the lobby party site. We are usually hungry after a show, having arrived early to stand in will call or M&G lines. We consider ourselves fortunate if the lobby has a bar/restaurant open to buy food after the show. In the event it does not offer food service, we bring snacks from our rooms to share - along with what we are drinking. We have been known to order gorgeous sheet cakes, decorated to celebrate the venue, to serve as dessert for all!! When Scotty performs near Garner, Raleigh, Nashville, or Trent's Farm we seem to get really big crowds from our membership and we actually start calling this an epic event!! We will have it all lunch, dinner, show, lobby parties on maybe more than one night, plus other events and goodies that vary from occasion to occasion. It makes going to a Scotty concert feel like going to a family reunion - because that is how MCFers treat each other - like a family! It doesn't get any better than seeing Scotty with others who love him as much as you do!

Beau Rivage, Biloxi, MS, June 26, 2015
The following 11 members are listed as going to Biloxi:
argran23, bleuwolf, GrandmaDot, jailbelle, mism, mmmtx, MSFan, MsTee, stepB692, TenorTrish and WarEagleGram This list contains names of some members I have not met or have not seen in a long time - so excited to see you all soon! Is anyone going that is not on the list? Is anyone on the list unable to go. Who, on the list, is traveling with family or guests (for the correct count for a get-together)?
I am thinking about a lunch get-together at the Beau Rivage on the day of Scotty's concert. Can everyone be at the Beau Rivage by lunch time - say 12:30 pmCT?
Is there anyone not staying at the Beau Rivage? I ask this interested in knowing how many want to meet post concert for a possible "lobby party" experience. It may not be in a lobby since this is a casino hotel - but maybe we can meet in a designated bar/restaurant area.
So I will Start. Please quote this and add to the list. I say this because I know Sharon Jiles will be giving information about the Columbus, GA concert get-togethers soon!
In the meantime, I will look over the amenities at the casino hotel. Hope to hear from you all soon!!
grandmadot - party of 2 - staying at the Beau Rivage - 2 for lunch - 2 for a lobby party

Nashville, June 9th PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!! NOW 4:00 PM!!
Some of us are getting together for early dinner on Tuesday, June 9 at Uncle Bud's Catfish Shack.
Those of you who tried it last year can attest to the quality and quantity of the food and the charming country ambiance. (I ate there 3 times last year!) There are all kinds of fish and fried chicken on the menu as well as fried catfish. The fixins' (white beans, slaw, hush puppies and pickles) are to die for! And, if you have room, lots of yummy desserts too.
We will meet at 4:00 and please post to let us know if you are coming! Hope to see y'all there!

CORRECTION TO NASHVILLE LUNCHEON AT UNCLE BUDS CATFISH June 9!!!
Uncle Bud's in not open for lunch during the week, but they do have early bird dinner starting at 4 pm. Since that is Opry night and it is always packed trying to find a place before showtime, I suggest we meet at 4 pm for an early dinner. Hope that works for you Betty and Regina.

Hi Sue! I am 99% certain that I will be there and will bring my Aunt Joye with whom I will be staying. She's my aunt, but she is not much older than I am. I am planning to thoroughly Scottify her while I am there. She is going to the Opry with me and also to the Fan Club Party---and maybe even the Riverfront Stage performance on Thursday.
SHOOT----just noticed the time change from lunch!! I don't know if we will be able to make it to dinner because we will be waiting on two more people who are going to the Opry with us!! I will have to get back to you a little later.

Have to check with here but pretty sure we'll make the lunch. Probably not the lobby party. Hope my son Jason is in on that weekend too. It's time he got an official intro to Scotty's concerts. Not too familiar with restaurants in the Beau. But this sounds mighty nice: www.beaurivage.com/restaurants/restaurants_casual_dining_terracecafe.aspx

I loved the Terrace Cafe at the Beau. That is where we had our get together before the concert last September.
And Dot, the area off the coffee shop is table and chairs and also right inside the coffee shop are tables and chairs. They do have food...a little more expansive selection than say a Starbuck's. Just don't know the hours for all of their services.

BTW Betty i just do not read that all who bought dinner tix at Columbus have a private concert? Hope Sharon can answer that!

Denim & Diamonds Concert, June 20 Columbus, GA
The following people are attending this concert: Bleuwolf, flgrandma43 (concert only), GrandmaDot, hummin4454, LFH311, Mamalety1949, MSFan (Pete), MsTee, Nelliesc (Bruce), paris2753, SharonJiles (Chris), TenorTrish (Keith) and WarEagleGram
Hey Everyone! Glad to have this thread set up for concert get-together planning (Thanks, Dot!)---I was just planning on e-mailing the above group about plans for Denim & Diamonds before I leave town in the morning. Dinner on Friday night: I have a small private dining room, the Muscogee Room, reserved at the Columbus Marriott, 800 Front Avenue (corner of 8th Avenue & Front Avenue) for us to have dinner together. We can start arriving there at 6:30, order drinks if you wish, visit, etc. You will be able to order off a dinner menu with several choices of entrees, etc.---yes, there will be a gluten-free choice, and each person/couple will just pay separately for their own meals. It will just be nice to have a quiet place where we can all be seated together so that we can visit. My two sons and their wives are coming also---I am so excited about them getting to meet some of my dear "Scotty friends!" "Lobby Party:" After the concert, whoever wants can just go back to the Marriott---there are some seating areas in the lobby, and they have a nice bar that stays open pretty late on Saturday night---I think midnight, but I will have to check that again. The Marriott is only about a mile from the Civic Center where the concert is!
Y'all---please reply here and let me know when you are arriving/leaving and where you are staying. More later. Can't wait to see everyone!!

Denim & Diamonds Concert, June 20 Columbus, GA
Tuesday both Columbus Hospice and Scotty posted on their FB pages about a drawing for "private concert/special M&G with Scotty." Here is what Diane Taylor, vice-president of marketing for Columbus Hospice says about it: "Your purchase of two dinner/concert tickets will automatically enter you in the drawing to win two special M&G passes with Scotty McCreery. Call Columbus Hospice 706-243-7506 to purchase dinner/concert tickets. Dinner tickets can also be purchased at www.columbushospice.com." The winners will be announced on Kissin'99.3 (WKCN) on June 12.
The "private concert," I assume, will be a part of the "special M&G." (Somewhere I have seen him singing to a small group of people in a room before a performance--maybe it will be something like that.)
I will find out more info from Diane tomorrow and relay it to you.

The Marriott is only about a mile from the Civic Center where the concert is!
Y'all---please reply here and let me know when you are arriving/leaving and where you are staying. More later. Can't wait to see everyone!!
Hi Sharon, 2 of us coming and we are staying at the Marriott. Will be there Friday for the dinner and definitely for the lobby party!!

I will be driving in (I live about an hour and a half away) and I'm bringing my 14-year-old grandson and my 18-year-old granddaughter with me. We can do the dinner but will be driving home after the concert. I am so excited to meet you guys and gals!! YAY!! We cannot wait to meet you! Don't you just love that you can bring your grandkids to see Scotty knowing that he respects all ages sitting in front of him? TOS! (Let me explain on IDF that meant That's Our Scotty - felt we needed to bring that to MCF!!!) Are you staying over Friday night for the show Saturday?

Beau Rivage, Biloxi, MS, June 26, 2015The following 11 members are listed as going to Biloxi: argran23, bleuwolf, GrandmaDot, jailbelle, mism, mmmtx, MSFan, MsTee, stepB692, TenorTrish and WarEagleGram This list contains names of some members I have not met or have not seen in a long time - so excited to see you all soon! Hope to hear from you all soon!! grandmadot - party of 2 - staying at the Beau Rivage - 2 for lunch - 2 for a lobby party Thanks to those of you who got back to me and especially for your input as to restaurants. I called the Beau Rivage this morning. I found out the Coffee Shop closes at 11pm. The bars have entertainment making it too loud for conversation or dress codes that will not allow my sandals!!! I spoke to a women, Iris, at the Terrace Cafe. They do have Gluten Free choices! They are open 24/7. They have a bar. Initially, I was told they do not take reservations by the person who initially took my call and then forwarded me to the restaurant itself. But Iris could not have been more helpful. I explained we were a group coming from all over the USA to see Scotty McCreery. We were looking for a place to gather, chat, eat. She told me that they do not generally make reservations but that knowing our needs she would seat people in their relatively small restaurant so that by 12:30 pm we could have a table for our group. I made the count 20, but she has my cell and I have her number and we agreed that I would refine this number when I was sure of the number. Frankly with all I found out, I think this is the best place to return to after the show for the lobby party. Iris told me that if we had 10 or 12 after the show, getting seated at that hour would be no problem. So it is the Terrace Cafe for both get-togethers. Betty or Regina do you still have Scotty CD's? I want to give one to Iris - she was sooooo helpful. If not, I will order one from Walmart - my supply is gone. For those new to the forum, I learned, many concerts ago, from mamalety that she gives Scotty CD's to front desk clerks, room maids, restaurant servers, etc. in hotels/cities where Scotty is appearing. What a great way to spread the word about Scotty! Now more of us do that to!!! It is why I said in the S/O that the hearts were "so her". i have heard from Bleuwolf, argran23, jailbelle, and mmmtx. So far we have 11 for lunch and 4 for the lobby party! Hope to hear from others soon!!!

Hi Sharon! Leticia and I will be arriving in Atlanta around 11 am on Friday and driving to Columbus. We will definitely be there for the dinner that evening! We are at the HI Express as the Marriott was full by the time we booked. I don't think we are too far away. We both have early (6 am flights) out of Atlanta on Sunday so we will either be in bed right after the show or else we will close down the lobby party and head to the airport right afterwards!!! LOL! Can't wait to see everyone!

I just got back from going to Baltimore last weekend for my granddaughter's high school graduation, so I thought I had better just come to the concert on Saturday and go back home with no hotel bill! We'll probably get to Columbus mid afternoon though. I hate to rush around. I do love that I don't have to worry about the content of the show for my grandkids or that very many people are going to be there just to drink, party and pass out and then run us over in the parking lot!! My grandson is a pretty big Scotty fan, he loves country music and has favorite songs on each of Scotty's albums. My granddaughter is somewhat marginal but she likes him (she likes "The Trouble With Girls" so I can't wait to see her reaction to the way he is doing it now!!). TOS!!
