Article in Country Line Magazine...Austin TX. Scotty McCreery Scotty McCreery burst onto the national music scene in 2011 at age 17, quickly establishing himself as one of country music’s hottest new stars. By age 21, the talented singer/songwriter has sold nearly 2.5 million albums and received both Platinum and Gold album certifications, debuted three consecutive albums at No. 1 on a Billboard chart, achieved three Platinum-certified singles and two Top Ten hits, toured with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry, headlined his own tours, earned industry and fan accolades, amassed more than three million followers on Facebook and Twitter, received more than 150 million YouTube views ... and he’s just getting started! His deep voice and irresistible sound create the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional country. With more than 300 live shows under his belt across the U.S., Canada, the Philippines and the Caribbean, McCreery has quickly become a crowd favorite appealing to all ages. His loyal fans – the McCreerians – are among the most dedicated and enthusiastic in the country music world. After winning Season Ten of American Idol and capturing the hearts of millions of television viewers nationwide, McCreery released his debut album, which was the best-selling solo album released by a country artist in 2011. Indeed, he became the youngest man in history to have his first album debut atop the all-genre Billboard Top 200 albums chart. That album, Clear As Day, was certified Platinum for sales of one million units in just thirteen weeks, and the first two singles from that album (“I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble with Girls”) have since been certified Platinum. He won the New Artist of the Year Award at both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards and the American Country Awards in 2011, and received the CMT Music Award for the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year for “The Trouble with Girls” in 2012. That same year, his Christmas album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, was released. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Holiday Albums chart and was quickly certified Gold. His highly anticipated sophomore album, See You Tonight, was released in October 2013 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. He co- wrote five songs on the album, including the first single, “See You Tonight,” which was certified Platinum and became his first Top Ten hit. The music video for “See You Tonight” spent an impressive 11 weeks at No. 1 on GAC’s fan-voted “Top 20 Countdown.” The album received rave reviews from publications ranging from Rolling Stone and People to “Entertainment Tonight” and The Los Angeles Times. Soon after its release, he won the Breakthrough Artist Award at the 2013 American Country Awards. A month after turning 21 in 2014, McCreery was voted No. 2 on “Country’s Sexiest Men Poll” by the readers of Country Weekly while also becoming a frequent fixture on many “Best Dressed” lists for his Red Carpet appearances. Before the year ended, his single, the fan-favorite “Feelin’ It,” became his second consecutive Top Ten hit. When he steps off the stage, McCreery returns to being a typical “guy next door.” After winning American Idol, the gifted performer graduated from his local high school and later enrolled at North Carolina State University. An avid sports fan and outdoorsman, he can be found at Wolfpack basketball games, attending the Super Bowl, or playing golf around the country as he tours. A proponent of giving back, McCreery has supported a host of charitable causes including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The 12.14 Foundation, World Vision, MLB RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities), The Opry Trust Fund, and a variety of organizations in his native North Carolina. McCreery will tour with Rascal Flatts on their RIOT TOUR 2015 this summer in addition to doing solo dates throughout the year. He has begun work on his third studio album, with plans to release new music later in the year.

Do you suppose Scotty's publicist is getting all this attention for him, or is it just coming naturally. Regardless of how it is happening, it is great!!! I pray that Scotty's label is now ready to turn him loose and get him played on radio. I feel that is the only reason he hasn't already gotten his first #1 hit!!! Come on....there are tons of people who are ready to hear our young man on radio!!! UMG, just get behind him this time and let's see how far he can go!!!

LOUIS CARDINALS GAME NEW YORK – (May 20, 2015) – Country music superstar Scotty McCreery performed “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the Seventh Inning Stretch of the New York Mets vs. St. Louis Cardinals game at New York City’s Citi Field on May 19. This is sure to be one of the sports topics that the ACM and CMT Music Award winner will discuss when he appears live today (May 20) on “SI Now,” the daily online Sports Illustrated news show broadcast at SI.com between 1:00-1:30 PM/ET. The singer/songwriter, who has been in the studio recently working on new music, will also appear on the “Road Trip with Anna Kooiman” segment of “FOX and Friends” which will air on May 28 at 7:40 AM/ET on the FOX News Channel. Kooiman visited McCreery and his band during their soundcheck and performance in Fargo, North Dakota earlier this year to learn how to be his guitar tech. Viewers can see how well she handled the job when the segment airs next week. McCreery will be the special guest on the upcoming Rascal Flatts RIOT Tour 2015 this summer, beginning May 30 in Noblesville, IN at the Klipsch Music Center. The tour will also feature opening act RaeLynn. The Mercury Nashville / 19 / Interscope Records recording artist scored two consecutive Top 10 hits (“See You Tonight” and “Feelin’ It”) from his sophomore album See You Tonight, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. That album’s title song, co-written by the singer, was one of three singles from the “American Idol” champion that were certified Platinum by the RIAA in the same week (the other two being “The Trouble with Girls” and “I Love You This Big” from his Platinum-certified first album Clear as Day, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart). Scotty McCreery Says a New Single Is Coming Very Soon By Sam Alex If you’re anything like us, you can’t wait for new music from Scotty McCreery! The singer stopped by to chat with Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex and dished on where he is with his new album, and when we can expect the first song. McCreery has been working long and hard trying to get new music to his McCreerians, and he’s already got a pretty good start. “We’ve been in the studio the last two days gettin’ it started, so we’ve cut five songs now for the new record,” McCreery spills. “And we hope to have a new single out in about a month or two.” Expect to hear the song this summer, when the North Carolina native hits the road with Rascal Flatts. Given the heat and his own rising star, McCreery is making sure those dates are as comfortable as possible, so instead of sharing a bus with his band, he’s shelling out a little extra cash for a place to call his own (and to share with friends and family). “It’s always coming out of my pocket, so I’m not doing it the whole year, ‘cause it is a chunk of change,” the 21-year-old dishes. “But we’ll do it a little bit when we’re out with Rascal Flatts.” When in Rome, right? Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide. Angela Sabo has posted recordings of Scotty on the Taste Of Country nights on the Watching Scotty Grow Facebook page. I hope someone can bring them over.
Several cute little stories by Scotty...I.e. Sharing his beach house with friends and family..Scotty told about a message from Mike with a picture of laptop and overlooking the ocean and telling Scotty he has the best office. Scotty replied "Have a good time Dad. Scotty told again about taking out 2nd bus this summer. He was asked about hair products and Scotty told he used to use no product, but with humidity and getting longer on top he is using one now. Also had a cute exchange about former girlfriend Taylor.

Ran across this while surfing. This may have been on IDF a long time ago, but I'd never seen it. From Urban Dictionary www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=McCreerianMcCreerian A McCreerian is someone who is a fan of American Idol Season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery. He is a seventeen-year-old (as of 2011) country singer who is known for his deep, abnormal voice. McCreerians are typically teenage girls, but can range from any age. Duh, it's because she heard the voice of Scotty McCreery, so now she's a McCreerian! by Danis2014 June 16, 2011 "abdormal" voice?? Obviously these are user-generated definitions. Too funny!

Finally got the 'Country Weekly' with Scotty in it. It's a great article! Since I live kind of out in the country, I get mine via mail so I'll be watching for the mail lady!! I usually have to wait a couple extra days but it's worth it to know I'll get it without having to search through the magazine racks at the stores searching for it.
