Big news on Wall Street is Twitter's CEO quit (basically fired). Twitter has not made a profit and it is losing users, especially young'uns (they are a fickle bunch). Periscope is a product of Twitter which I didn't know. The search is on for a new CEO who can make it profitable. So Twitter users will probably in the future have to deal with ways for them to turn a profit. Since many of us use Twitter, we should expect some changes in the future. Speculation is that it will be sold to someone like Google, Facebook, etc.
One big goal is to make Twitter easier to use, and have more applications through it.

Interesting. I just saw an article that said Instagram had grown over 50% in the last year and is now preferred by many over Twitter - probably "young'uns."

I think Twitter has seen the growth of companies such as Instagram, Amazon, etc. and at least recently has tried to follow these companies in what they do. For example, due to the impact and money companies make through online purchasing, Twitter as been in the process of creating a way users can buy items through Twitter. Basically, the idea is there will be a shopping cart where you can purchase specific items from approved retailers like an online store. I hate this idea and hope they don't do this.

The interim CEO is a Twitter founder. (Don't remember his name). Charles Payne, an investment guy I respect, has owned it all along and plans to keep his stock. All the analysts see this as a positive step for the company. As one said, they need "an adult in the room"-someone who understands business. Which means users are going to need to spend money somehow. When a company goes public, they have to dance to another tune. (Can you tell I watch Fox Business Channel a lot?)

What a great Bday present. If there was a good flight to Columbus, I'd think about taking you up on the ticket offer. But from my local that's not possible. Hope all going have a great time and help out hospice. Hospice in our location helped out a lot when my daughter died. We give regularly to that charity.

Funny "chat" between Lauren Alaina and her boyfriend Alex. He is as chatty as she is. Remember Scotty says she just talks and talks and talks. Well so does Alex. He's the male Lauren Alaina.
