A lot of us already know each other from Idolforums, but we have many new members here. I created this thread for members to say anything they want about themselves.
I'll begin.
I'm Jonathan and 34 years old. I'm from the Charlotte, NC area. I'm a proud owner of 2 dogs, Peanut (a Cocker Spaniel) and Reggie (a boxer). I work as a Produce Manager for the Food Lion grocery chain. I'm a big fan of Country (mostly older) and Pop (mostly recent) music. Scotty has been my favorite singer of this generation since I saw his first audition on American Idol. I've seen him live and met him a few times. If Scotty is the future of real Country music, then the genre is in great hands!

I'm Sherry. I'm from "extreme" south Texas. I proudly claim that I may be the oldest member of McCreerians. As was Dot, I'm a former high school math teacher. After that I switched to accounting in our family business. As do many here I just love that kid and his family. (I reserve the right to call Scotty a kid). So far I've been to 5 Scotty concerts and hope to be at more. 2 children older than Mike and Judy. 5 grandchildren ages 21 to 32. One small great grand daughter. I'm not a pet owner. (My old English teacher would have chastised me for using "I" so much.)

I'm Trish and sing tenor in the church choir, ergo the name, and bass in a women's a cappella chorus. I'm a huge fan of country music and have seen many entertainers in my lifetime. Scotty is the best I've seen in a long time. I've made it to four Scotty concerts so far (with two more planned this summer) and have enjoyed meeting McCreerians at all of them.

I am Elise. I am originally from New Hampshire but have lived in the South since 1972 and, yes, I am a fan of all things New England, like Scotty! I currently live in Leesburg, GA (home town of Luke Bryan and Phillip Phillips and also Buster Posey for all you baseball fans out there!! I have been a fan since the very beginning and there is no turning back. I was a country fan for years but kind of got away from it for a while, I think my husband got tired of it for some reason. Anyway, Scotty brought me back. I love a lot of stuff from the 80's and 90's, but Scotty has the voice that transcends decades and has an honesty that I can sense in every song he sings. He is just everything to love in an artist and a celebrity. I currently work at home doing medical transcription for a local hospital, but I will be retiring on my birthday next year. I was a lurker on IDF for close to four years, signed up once but then got a different computer and could not successfully sign up again, so I just gave up. So happy for this new site!! I have only been to two concerts so far (Atlanta with Brad Paisley in 2012, and with Scotty as the headliner at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA, in 2013. Can't wait for Denim & Diamonds in Columbus, GA, in June!!

I am Julia! I am 45! I have been a fan of Scotty's since he was on American Idol! I am from Sturgis, Michigan! For the last 21 years I have been working as a cashier at the Walmart here in town! I have seen Scotty twice in concert in 2012 with Brad and in 2014 as a headliner and I have met him once! I have been a country fan for years and I remember watching Hee Haw when the episodes originally aired! Hopefully someday soon I will get to see Scotty live in concert again!

Hi I am Dot, GrandmaDotB on twitter. I am a retired math teacher and moved from PA to spend my retirement years in central Florida with hubby Tom. We have two darling grandchildren, a boy and a girl! I have loved Scotty since his audition. After Season 10 finished airing I went through withdrawal not being able to see Scotty on TV each week. I eventually found IDF and lurked there for the better part of a year, until I finally joined and started to post. I enjoyed bringing tweets to IDF so that members there, not on twitter, could enjoy what was being discussed on social media. Eventually, I assisted drdeb in concert night tweets - doing the post concert tweets, since i am a night owl! Lately, I have been frustrated with the Error messages on IDF and am so glad Mary Beaton has been able to post a new forum for us to enjoy all things Scotty. We lost thousands of posts on IDF. I am trying to restore some of the history we had stored there in the threads I have posted. I am so happy to see members from IDF, people I have met at concerts, and fellow McCreerians from many places I have visited on the web joining this new forum. I, like you, cannot wait for new music from Scotty. Hopefully we may hear new tunes in his shows as his time on the road with Rascal Flatts will start in a couple of weeks. None of these may be declared as his single, but hope he has them in his set list to see how the crowd takes to them! #always an optimist! He has to be so excited for his new experience with Rascal Flatts about to begin and, after that, a new album to drop! Love being a McCreerian along with all of you!

Hi! I'm mmmtx(initials for my maiden name: Mary Marilyn Meier and tx for where I live now). I have been a country fan since Garth or maybe a little before...started going to county fair concerts about 1985...saw Martina when she was first beginning-Tricia Yearwood too when She's In Love With The Boy was 1st a hit. Over the years we have been to countless country concerts but now we go exclusively to Scotty concerts...this coming weekend will be #15 n #16 I think....my memory is not so good now after the seizure I had a few weeks after abdominal surgery in early October...I was in a coma for 2.5days and didn't even know my name when I first awoke. The memory is coming back but slower than I would like. I have two more chemo treatments left but I am getting stronger every day so am hopeful I am ready for concerts again. I was an English teacher for six years, then the mother of three children along with being a babysitter for sometimes upward of ten or so kids at a time. Then the last 15 years before retirement I was a secretary/office manager of a real estate office. I retired in Dec 2000 and my hubby Mike in June 2001; and we moved to Texas after living in the same house for 34 years. We have a daughter in Texas, a daughter in Michigan, and a son who is currently working in Jakarta and 3 grandchildren-2 boys and a girl. I'm sorry to see IDF falling apart but I am slowly learning to navigate my way around here. I hope to see all of the IDFers here soon. I guess I should tell you all that I have been called Marilyn all my life! Never understood why I was named Mary.

I began my career right out of high school as a transcriptionist many, many moons ago. I went on to get my degree in Health Information and worked in or associated with the Medical Record Department the rest of my career. I will be in Columbus also, look forward to meeting you.

Hi, my name is Pam. As my username suggest (kayg1=cagey one) I don't like giving a lot of information out on social media. However, I am a huge Scotty McCreery fan and want to support him anyway I can. Can't wait for new music. I miss hearing him on the radio. BTW, love this site, great job everyone!

Hi, I'm Maria Clara, I'm 29 years and I'm from Brazil. Scotty is the only country artist that I listen to (country is not much heard here), so I thank American Idol for introducing me Scotty. I've never been to a Scotty's show, but I REALLY hope that one day I can have that pleasure. Can't wait for new music.

Hi all ! My name is Kathryn(Kathi, Kate), but for IDF and our new forum I chose the user name of Ktdid. (My Mom always called me "katie did"). I live in the outskirts of Portland,Oregon. I am retired from the medical field. I have three children, two boys and a girl living in the Portland area, who have given me three grandchildren, two boys and a girl and also two great granddaughters. My granddaughter, a RN, and two great granddaughters live in Texas. The two grandsons are in college here in Oregon. I have long been in love with Shih Tzus. I have bred, raised and showed them. Now I have two Shih Tzus and one Lhasa Apso who are my babies. I do not show dogs anymore, but have taught myself, through the years the grooming technique of this breed. That's a full time job!!! I have loved "our Scotty" since Idol and have been fortunate to see him in two concerts. I hope to see him when he comes closer to Portland again. His Willamette Fest visit is too far away for me as is his visit to Pendleton,Oregon. He is the epitome of a fine person and artist in my opinion. I like Garth, Randy and Josh, but this young man has captured my heart. It is nice to have this new forum to come to for everything Scotty. My family doesn't understand my obsession with Scotty, so it is good to meet others that feel as I do about this amazing talent. Thank you once again for all the hard work in bringing us this new, wonderful forum.

Hi everyone!! I am Judy and my husband is Paul. We live in the Florida Panhandle approximately 50 miles due north of Panama City. We have two children and five grandchildren. Actually, Paul and I adopted our first grandchild, so technically, we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I am retired from the local school system where I worked in administration for 31 years. Although I was not a teacher, one of my jobs was to work with our teachers keeping up with their certification requirements. Those of you who have, or are currently teaching, know what a hassle that can be at times! Since our school district is fairly small, I also worked with Federal and State projects, Home Schooling, ESE projects, Teacher Inservice, et al. It was a demanding job with many weekends spent working at home to keep up with it all. This is what happens when you work in one office for so many years...every new project/job that pops up gets assigned to you. I had to laugh when I retired they actually divided up my position into two positions! I am loving this thread. It is wonderful to read everyone's posts and learn that even though we are from all walks of life, Scotty has brought us to this amazing Scottified family. Like so many others here, my family just does not "get" my love for this talented young man. Like all of you, Scotty had me the first time he opened his mouth on AI. I remember thinking what a beautiful voice for such a young kid....then he sang!!! Nuf Said!!! The Columbus, GA concert will be my 5th Scotty concert. I am so looking forward to seeing other IDFers there. A HUGE THANK YOU to those who have been instrumental in creating this new "Everything Scotty" site. Ya'll are just the BEST!!! Looking forward to the tweets from tonight's show....thanks in advance, GrandmaDot!

I'm Jan, and my husband (whom I met in 5th grade) and I live in Arkansas, now. Spent 32 years in Louisiana (Geaux, Tigers!) until Hurricane Katrina came ashore and put over 4 ft. of water in our house. We decided it was time to move a little further north! We are both born and bred yankees from IN, but have spent our 48 yrs. of married life in the south. We have one daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandsons, who live in IN. I'm a retired RN, and spend my time quilting, crafting, and making cards with friends. I have been following Scotty since I heard him sing "The River" on American Idol. I am a McCreerian !

Hello, Everyone!
I am Sue (paris2753) and "oui, oui" I LOVE Paris! And Scotty, of course! I retired two years ago when I sold the bookstore I owned for 12 years here in Los Angeles although I grew up in Mid-Michigan where I attended college. I moved out to the west coast in 1987. Retirement has allowed me to indulge in my love of travel (mostly France and Scotty concerts in about 15 states now!), reading, volunteer work at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and Scotty! I am mom to two kitties : Neige, my 16 year old 3 legged cancer survivor and Ficelle my 5 year old tortie recently adopted from Best Friends. I love all animals, country music, travel, speaking French, word games and puzzles, Chinese and Mexican food and everything French (except the cigarette smoke!) I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of you here on IDF and look forward to seeing you all out on the road soon! Next stop: Nashville and the Fan Club Party!

Hi I am Mary from San Antonio, TX. I love country music and this started with George Strait. I think Scotty is the best voice to come along in years. I love his funny faces and his velvet voice. I will celebrate 50 years of marriage this year. Have 4 grown children and 3 grandsons. I still work for a bank. Sometimes I think I want to retire but would miss not having some place to go every day. So glad to have this forum. Always had withdrawal symptoms when "the other" site would be down. I have seen Scotty once in a jam and once on his own. Hoping he comes back my way soon. So excited for new music.

Hi everyone! I am Judy. My husband & I retired in Elma, WA to be closer to our 2 sons, daughter-in-law & 2 grandsons. Have been married 40 years & we both like country music but do not like most of what is proclaimed as country music today. I saw Scotty on American Idol & fell for him & his voice. He is a wonderful young man with a wonderful family. I have yet to get to see him in a live concert but will do so one day. I am so hoping that with his new album Scotty will get that breakthrough that will put him through to the next level of his career.

Howdy! I am Betty - alternately called Ms. B, Mom (to 3 very grown children), the Boopster (work can be so orignal), and The Beast (LOL). I worked with the courts in my home county in Central AL for 12 years as a Court Referral Officer and then with the State of Alabama, Department of Corrections, as a drug treatment counselor. That was after a long history of retail, textile, and sales work. I have the age to accommodate the work history - I'm 66. Plan on working about 4 = 6 more years before I retire for good. The time with the criminal justice system is where my screen name originated about 12 years ago. Nope, no criminal record. LOL. It's just easier to keep the screen name as wherever I go online - the name is not taken! Wonder why? When I left the state with total burnout for the field I was working in, I returned back to my home county in Alabama. I went to work with Walmart. As someone has pointed out it's a happier profession than the one I worked in for years. Too true. I'm part-time, overnight. Like the hours. I recently moved from Central Alabama to an area I have loved for almost 50 years - the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I moved to Ocean Springs, MS: www.oceansprings-ms.com/ Spent yesterday with my daughter Stephani exploring the Davis Bayou area of Gulf Islands National Seashore. We watched little crabs, frogs, turtles, fishes, chameleons, and salamander's enjoy the bayou 'nursery' while trying to catch a glimpse of a big fat alligator that enjoys the sun (and dining) in the area. Tonight before I head to work we'll catch the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in concert at one of the casinos. So nice to walk out the front door and enjoy a 'constant vacation' just beyond that door. Okay wordy enough here. Just adding that I'm am real happy to have found Scotty and enjoy everything about being a McCreerian. Also adding my thanks to the incredible effort here to keep us all together. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this site! Happy to see all the McCreerians who have joined.

Hello all! First off, kudos to those that put this site together. It will become our new home! Jonathan, great idea for a thread. I have enjoyed learning little tidbits about everyone. My name is Melissa and I'm from Chesapeake, VA. I am just finishing up my twelfth year of teaching full day kindergarten. It keeps me on my toes, that's for sure! I've been following country music since I was about 14 and grew up listening to 90's country. The evolution over the years is just mind boggling. Needless to say, I find myself still listening. I've been a big American Idol fan since just about the beginning. I began following Clay Aiken's career after season 2 and I've watched every season since. My favorite season, however, is good old season 10. I enjoy traveling although I've never been abroad. Someday...someday. I'm also particularly fond of giraffes thanks to a book report that I had to write when I was in fifth grade. You'd be amazed all the random things you can collect over the years. I've enjoyed the friendships that I have made with a lot of you here and look forward to meeting the newbies!

Hi my name is Betty, user name bleuwolf. No, I am not Bleu nor am I a wolf...lol. Bleuwolf is a combination of the middle names of my two grandsons, Taylor Bleu and Grayson Wolf. I spent the first 20 years of my married life as a military wife moving around every 3 years or so. As my husband's time ended with the U.S. Army we moved back to our Alabama home for our next careers. Finally after full retirement in 2008 we moved to from our central Alabama lake life to the site of our childhood vacations on Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast.
I will soon celebrate my 49th anniversary. My husband and I have two sons, both of which followed their Dad's career in the Army, now one is medically retired from law enforcement and one is working with the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.
Like so many of us, I was completely captivated by that 16 year old kid from NC with a beautiful baritone voice on American Idol. Watching him grow into the man he is today has been a fantastic trip. His talent, his high standards, his family, and his wonderful fans only endears him more everyday. I often tell Scotty in M&Gs that I hope he realizes that he is responsible for some great friendships being formed. Through Scotty I have met wonderful people all over the country and formed some wonderful friendships. I look forward to the continuation of this journey which I feel sure is going to take Scotty to the super stardom he so richly deserves. I am happy to be on this trip with all of you.

Hi, My name is Paula, user name PeachStateNana. I was born in Georgia and have lived here (metro Atlanta) all my life with the exception of 18 years I lived in Michigan. I am married and have four grown children, including a set of twin boys! I have five grandchildren and another "unexpected blessing" due the first of September which we're very excited about. I retired from our local school system in 2005 after 20 years of service. My department was responsible for the school calendar, student discipline (How many times did I hear "My son/daughter would not do that and is innocent"!), custody/guardianship issues and redistricting, just to name a few. Our main "hobby" is traveling and we only have 3 more states to visit and we will have all of the USA covered and plan to do that this summer. We've also been to 8 foreign countries.
I fell in love with Scotty as soon as he sang "Baby lock them doors". My children refer to him as "your boy Scotty" because I'm so crazy about him!! I've watched American Idol nearly every season but Scotty is THE ONLY ONE for whom I ever voted. What is there not to love...his character, his integrity, his wholesomeness and, of course, his voice and God-given talent! It just draws you in and you're a McCreerian!! He is on his way to super-stardom and I'm glad we're along for the journey!!

I'm Linda from the St Louis area. I have been reading the IDF for a few years and when I saw that thing were getting iffy I decided to wait and join here. I've enjoyed all the great videos and info. What a wonderful place to come and enjoy reading about Scotty and his growth as a young man and singer. I'll be seeing Scotty with RF in St Louis, plus all his appearances at CMA fest. I met a few of you a few years ago at the fan party and look forward to meeting more of you this year.

I live in a rural area outside of Wilkesboro, NC. I have worked in a nursing/rehab center for the past 27 years. Like many of you on this forum, I fell "in love" with Scotty the first time I saw and heard him on AI. I have been following his career on twitter, facebook, and IDF. I've only seen him in concert 2 times. Once with the AI Tour in Charlotte, NC and once in Danville, VA where I got to meet him at a M&G!

I'll give it a shot. My name is Mike and I'm 49 years old. I think a few people here know me already, but for those that don't I have a wonderful wife named Judy and 2 great kids named Ashley and Scott. Some people call him Scotty. We also have 2 dogs named Becky and Junior. They are so popular they even have their own twitter account. What a crazy world. We live in a small town called Garner, NC. Most probably haven't heard of it. I love sports, especially baseball and golf, which I still play both regularly. I love the beach and spending time with my family. I travel a lot for work with Schneider Electric, where I am a Global Supply Chain inventory analyst. Well that's about it. Hope we run into all of you at some concerts.

Hello everyone. My name is Eve, married, no kids. Been a Scotty fan since 2011 and I used to frequent the IDF Scotty forum, though I didn't post much over there. season1 was my IDF username also. I'm also a fan of several other country artists from Idol and The Voice. BTW this forum has the most members among the new boards started (since IDF went down)
